Origin is an idea that came to me to create a story in the universe of E.T. based on the characters created by Steven Spielberg and thanks to the new technology of artificial intelligence; I thought it was time to do something with this. I have always loved Spielberg movies but especially E.T. And being creative myself, I'm always hungry to know what else can happen in the things we don't see in the movies.
The story is based on the character who has no name in the movie, but rather "Keys" but in this story we name him Michael Keys, we base his name on the second most famous name of the late 40s where this character was born. In real life this actor is called Peter Coyote.
We are in 1951 in the San Fernando Valley, they travel to the countryside in their 1945 Ford Deluxe car heading to their lands that they are about to sell to spend one last night in tents. (These lands are actually Sunland Tujunga, California, where in the future "80s" Elliot and family will live in the new neighborhood)
Michael and his father have an encounter of the third kind with the UFOs on the night that apparently one of their ships crashed in the area and one of them was inspecting the remains that were still burning. This marked our protagonist a lot, since he never had another meeting until the future events in the movie E.T. when he actually knows the alien. But these events would happen in the far future.

Our character (Michael Keys) along with his father William Keys is the same person based on a real photograph of Keys' actor in E.T. Peter Coyote, which, we returned as a teenager.

Surprised faces of both were regenerated by an application that modifies the face. Their expressions are not the most normal, but they were the ones that came closest to our concept. It was not easy.
